WWE Superstars Results (4/10): Jack Swagger Vs. Adam Rose, R-Truth Vs. Curtis Axel
Welcome to Wrestling Inc's coverage of WWE Superstars. Tonight's show is from Austin, Texas and your announcers are Tom Philips and Rich Brennan.
Adam Rose versus Jack Swagger
Swagger gets the advantage early, utilizing his amateur background to take Rose down. When Rose gets to the ropes, he uses a cheap back elbow to take control. This doesn't last long as Swagger blasts him with a huge clothesline.
Swagger lands several more clotheslines and sets up the Vader Bomb in the corner, but Rose gets his feet up. Swagger tries to put on the Patriot Lock, but he's bounced from the ring by Rose.
Rose goes for a baseball slide, but Swagger grabs the Patriot Lock outside. For some reason Adam Rose doesn't get a rope break, even under the ropes and taps out.
Winner: Jack Swagger via submission (Patriot Lock)
- We see a video package going over the history of AxelMania
- We are shown a couple of video packages from Raw, including the announcement of Randy Orton becoming number one contender, and the John Cena open challenge.
Curtis Axel versus R Truth
Axel tosses Truth over the top rope but he lands on the apron, giving Axel time rip off his shirt and Truth comes up from behind and he throws Axel over the top rope. The two go back and forth with neither really gaining much of an advantage.
Axel hits a dropkick to Truth, and poses for the crowd, trying to get an "AxelMania" chant started. Axel chokes Truth on the ropes, but gets harassed by the ref and switches to a sleeper hold, which Truth reverses.
A series of clotheslines have R-Truth in a bad way yet again. Axel taunts him, and Truth smacks Axel in the face and lands the Lie Detector for the pinfall.
Winner: R Truth via pinfall (Lie Detector)
