Man Kills Young Child After Performing WWE Finishing Moves, WWE Issues A Statement

PennLive.com has an article about 20 year old Scott Hoffman from Jersey Shore, PA, who has been arrested in the death of his girlfriend's 18 month old son. The man claimed he was doing wrestling moves on the child, specifically naming The Rock Bottom and The Undertaker's Last Ride.

The main claims he missed a bed while doing The Last Ride and the child hit the floor instead, knocking him out. The child was rushed to a local hospital but diagnosed with a collapsed lung and possibly broken neck. The child unfortunately passed away later. The man originally claimed he dropped the baby.

WWE issued the following statement to The Patriot News in response to the story:

"There is no excuse for a 20-year-old grown man to assault an 18-month old child, no matter what," said the WWE. "Using a flimsy excuse about emulating a wrestling maneuver does not absolve Brandon Hoffman of this abhorrent crime. The death of Bryson Shoemaker is a tragedy, and WWE offers its condolences to the child's mother, Sierra Shoemaker."
