Slow News Day Video: David Letterman Mocks Vince McMahon During Segment In 1985, "Shawn Michael"

Legendary late-night talk show host David Letterman retired last week and hosted his final show last Wednesday. Stephanie McMahon tweeted a link to the video above thanking Letterman, which included footage of her father on Letterman's third anniversary special on New Year's Eve in 1985.

On the show, Letterman had Vince and Bob Costas reporting from two New York City hospitals, with the first baby being born in one of them being declared the "Late Night" baby. Vince reported from New York hospital in Manhattan, and took his job seriously, which Letterman had some fun with. Letterman continued to check in with McMahon and Costas during the show, and continued to poke fun at Vince. During one of Vince's reports, Letterman asked, "where did we get this guy?"

Vince eased up as the show went along, and was pretty funny by the end. Vince's hospital won, and he announced the birth of "Shawn Michael Fluery."
