UFC Fight Night 67 Results: Carlos Condit's Big Comeback, Top 10-Featherweight Fight, More

UFC Fight Night 67 is in the books, and an anticlimactic card saw an anticlimactic finish. The UFC is in the heat of an insane stretch of an almost two month period where they have a card each week. The bad comes with the good, and while this was far from their worst showing, this one won't exactly be listed among the all-time greats

The main event saw the highly anticipated return of #4 Carlos Condit taking on Thiago Alves. Condit immediately put himself in the conversation of Welterweight title contenders with an impressive performance. After over a year out of the cage, Condit's showing put him right at the top of a dwindling Welterweight division that needs contenders.

Condit looked good in the bout, working for a submission early on before bloodying the underdog Alves after overcoming early adversity. Eventually Condit applied a beating so bad, that the ringside doctor refused to allow the fight to continue. Between rounds 2 and 3, referee Mario Yamasaki called an end to the fight, giving Carlos Condit a successful return

Also on the card was an exciting re-match between top 10 featherweights Charles Oliveira and Nik Lentz. The bout lived up to the hype, as a back-and-forth battle ended in a guillotine. The two had a fight years ago which was originally an Oliveira win via submission, but an illegal knee prompted the athletic commission to overturn the fight. This was easily the most exciting fight on an otherwise average UFC show.
