ICYMI: HBK Turns Down WM, Rock, Ziggler Re-Signs, Kurt Angle Surgery, TNA HOF, Neville Married, More

Here are some news and items from Wrestling Inc. that you may have missed over the weekend:

- The Rock made a surprise appearance at WWE's live event in Boston on Saturday night. The Rock was in town filming Central Intelligence and did a segment with Bo Dallas. You can check out the segment in the video above.

- Article here with TNA President Dixie Carter confirming this year's TNA Hall of Fame inductee. The induction will actually air on Impact Wrestling in July or August and not at this year's Bound for Glory pay-per-view.

- Jeff Jarrett won the inaugural King of the Mountain championship at last night's TNA Slammiversary pay-per-view. Full TNA Slammiversary results are here.

- Lyoto Machida was finished again at UFC Fight Night 70.

- There was controversy after UFC Fight Night 70 over Yoel Romero's post-fight speech, in which he either said "forget Jesus" or "gay Jesus." CM Punk heard "gay Jesus" and replied in pretty hilarious fashion.

- Spoilers here from Saturday's Impact tapings, which will air in July and August.

- More highlights at this link from Wrestling Inc. correspondent Scott H. from Shawn Michaels and Jim Ross' Q&A last week in the U.K. Shawn Michaels said that he turned down a major role at WrestleMania 32, and noted that he was never approached for a WrestleMania match against Eddie Guerrero. He also talked about his match with Ric Flair at WrestleMania, as well as a rumored feud with Randy Savage. JR also talked about Dusty Rhodes' passing and Owen Hart.

- Saturday's "Today In Wrestling History" article here looking at an Undertaker angle that leaked before the show. Sunday's "Today In Wrestling History" article looks at Mick Foley being thrown off the Hell In A Cell.

- WWE Network will be airing a 30-minute special on Finn Balor this Thursday at 10:30pm EST titled "Finn Balor: The Demon Revealed."

- Nikki Bella wants a champion vs. champion match with NXT Divas Champion Sasha Banks. Another article here with Nikki Bella talking about her match with AJ Lee being cut short at the last minute.

- The Big Show was on Chris Jericho's podcast last week. We have an article here about The Big Show telling Jericho that he made Floyd Mayweather break his nose for their angle, and revealed original plans for the match that involved Batista and Rey Mysterio. Another article here about Big Show telling Jericho that he almost came to blows with Booker T when they were in WCW.

- F4WOnline reports that Kurt Angle will be taking some time off to undergo surgery to remove a tumor from his neck. It's not a major operation, and he should be able to return to action for July's Impact tapings.

- Dave Meltzer reports that Magnus is GFW bound following last night's Slammiversary pay-per-view. Brian Fritz of Sporting News reported Saturday that James Storm asked for his TNA release and received it. Dixie Carter said that both men would still be working with the company for the July tapings, so it appears as if they will work the show as free agents.

- TNA's Bob Ryder shot down reports that Awesome Kong and Taryn Terrell were leaving TNA after last night's show. According to Ryder, Kong is under contract through December, while Taryn is contracted until March.

- Dolph Ziggler spoke with The Boston Herald this past weekend about why he re-signed with WWE.

"I mean, it feels like I started here, I should end my career in the WWE," Ziggler said. "I feel like they like having me around and I love working here, so it would be really hard to walk away."
