Mick Foley Talks Throwing First Pitch, Kevin Nash Note, Big Wrestling Event At Citi Field On Sunday
- NBC affiliate WNDU in Indiana ran the story above about WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley throwing the first pitch at the South Bend Cubs on Father's Day on June 21st at Four Winds Field in South Bend. Foley spoke to the station regarding throwing the first pitch.
"I used to be pretty good–I used to have a pretty good arm," Foley send. "It took me a while to realize that you know Mother Nature and Father Time had tag-teamed me in a way that no opponent ever has. After a while no amount of warming up is going to make up for the fact that I'm going to throw this pitch 10 feet into the dirt so I just now step forward and I loop it in and just hope for the sympathy of a kind hearted crowd."
- Foley has also been announced for the next "Legends of Wrestling" event on July 31st during the Miami Marlins game at Marlins Park. Kevin Nash, Tyrus, Bushwhacker Luke and The Nasty Boys will also be appearing.
"I am so happy to be able to get these Legends of Wrestling icons front and center so the fans can experience the legends that helped to lay the foundation that Pro Wrestling rests upon to this day," Legends of Wrestling promoter Louis "Uncle Louie" Gregory said. "The New York show at Citi Field will be filled with excitement and live matches; we can't wait to get to the action! The July 31st show at Miami's Marlins Park with feature fan interactions with autographs and photo opportunities and who knows; a Mick Foley first pitch? A big foot from Big Sexy to a Mascot? I guess you'll have to visit the 305 and come out to Marlins Park to see what happens for that one! I will be announcing our biggest show yet for Fall 2015 so be sure to follow my twitter @UncleLouie!"
