Notes On WWE "Beast In The East" Network Special Main Events, How Long The Show Is, More
- There had been some speculation about WWE possibly changing Kofi Kingston vs. Brock Lesnar at the July 4th "The Beast In The East" WWE Network special from Tokyo, Japan. While WWE still hasn't mentioned Brock's opponent on TV, WWE Network has updated their schedule for this week and the match with Kofi is still on. That match and Finn Balor vs. NXT Champion Kevin Owens are being billed as the main events.
The event airs live at 5:30am EST on July 4th and is scheduled to run for two hours. There will be replays at 2pm, 8pm and 11pm, and it will be available in the vault. The WWE Network description reads like this:
"Live from Tokyo, Japan, Brock Lesnar returns to the ring against Kofi Kingston. Finn Balor challenges Kevin Owens for the NXT Championship!"
WWE currently has 7 matches scheduled so it's possibly that everything doesn't air on the two-hour broadcast. Joey Styles recently said on Twitter that the event will air in its entirety but the WWE Network has just two hours scheduled for the show. Below is the card:
* Finn Balor vs. NXT Champion Kevin Owens
* Kofi Kingston vs. Brock Lesnar
* Neville vs. Chris Jericho
* John Cena and Dolph Ziggler vs. King Barrett and Kane
* Paige vs. Naomi vs. Divas Champion Nikki Bella
* Cesaro vs. Diego
* The Lucha Dragons vs. The New Day
