NWA Streaming Service Starting Next Month

The National Wrestling Alliance will be the latest promotion to jump on the streaming service bandwagon. The NWA confirmed on their Facebook page that "NWA Classics" would start on July 4, and feature tons of vintage footage.

The service will be subscription only, and feature over 800 hours of wrestling footage from the mid 1960's through the early 1980's. It was also mentioned that all of the film is straight from the Paul Boesch video library. The announcement encouraged fans to go to NWA's official website for more news, but no related stories are featured.

The National Wrestling Alliance follows both New Japan Pro Wrestling and World Wrestling Entertainment in creating subscription based services. As of now, no live events are set for the service, but haven't been confirmed yet.

The NWA has been associated with New Japan Pro Wrestling in recent years, as Bruce Tharpe, Rob Conway, and the NWA World Heavyweight Championship were on their programming. NJPW talent Hiroyoshi Tenzan is also the current NWA World Champion.
