Paige In Wrestling Match While In The Womb, Hulk Hogan Reveals Worst Advice He's Gotten, More
As you may have noticed, Hulk Hogan and Paige were doing the media rounds promoting last night's premiere of Tough Enough. Here are some of their interviews from this week:
* Paige talked to Asia One about the premiere and noted that she has been around wrestling her entire life. She said that her mother, Saraya Knight, wrestled while she was pregnant with her.
"All I've ever known is wrestling," Paige stated. "Plus my mum was pretty much pregnant with me when she realized. So I've basically been wrestling since I was a fetus."
* Scott Fishman of Channel Guide Magazine has an interview with Hogan and Paige here. Paige talked about working with Lita on the show.
"I think it's amazing," Paige said. "I definitely looked up to Lita when I was growing up. I also looked up to Bull Nakano. Those two were wrestlers who stood out and were anti-divas who dared to be different. They got as big a pops as the men did. I'm here to be in a similar position as them. I want one day for the Tough Enough contestants to say, 'I want to be just like Paige.'"
* Another interview with Hogan here from The Wrap, who talks about how Tough Enough will change the reality TV genre.
* BizJournal has an interview with Hulk Hogan and Paige promoting the premiere. During the interview, Hogan revealed the worst advice he's received.
"The advice I got was in the 1970s when wrestling was very barbaric," Hogan said. "The worst advice I got then was 'real wrestlers don't wear kneepads.' After about two years of wrestling in Japan, my knees were blown out."
