Seeds Planted For Steve Austin Vs. Brock Lesnar At WrestleMania 32?
Stone Cold Steve Austin returned to the WWE Network Monday night with the latest edition of his podcast, featuring Paul Heyman as his guest. For the past several years Heyman has acted as an advocate for former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar, and when he got the opportunity to ask Austin questions at the end of the podcast, he asked if Austin would face Lesnar at WrestleMania 32.
"If I was going to fight Brock Lesnar, I would beat his ass," Austin said. "You sit there with this little grin on your face, but I think you know how it would go down. I'd have to think about it, but the person who would really have to think about it is Brock Lesnar. I don't think he'd want to take all the momentum and all the good stuff you all have done to roll in to 105,000 people and get his ass smoked."
Austin's demeanor changed significantly after Heyman asked the question, as he got really fired up when answering. Austin seemed like he was maneuvering for the match, which would obviously be a huge money maker for all parties involved.
"I would open up a can of whoopass on Brock Lesnar's ass. We could discuss it," Austin said.
Stone Cold then said that he'd want to do a Texas Death Match, because at his age, he wouldn't look to get into a technical battle with a guy like Lesnar. Heyman even tried to change the subject, but Austin was steadfast in saying he'd beat Lesnar.
The full podcast went over an hour, and finished in Austin threatening Paul Heyman and making him leave before thanking him for all he did for his career.
