Steve Corino & Kevin Kelly Talk ROH-NESN Deal, NJPW-ROH Shows, Live Coverage Of ROH TV Tonight
Ring of Honor TV debuts on Destination America tonight, but that isn't the only place picking up ROH TV, as the New England Sports Network has also added the show. The move gives Ring of Honor a much sought presence in the area, and will allow them to run live events there. Ring of Honor announcers Kevin Kelly and Steve Corino spoke to Bill Apter about the deal recently.
"It's good because we're New England-heavy on the roster," Corino said, before Kevin Kelly added "We've got guys like Michael Bennett, Matt Taven, Todd Sinclair, Bobby Cruise, Dijak, there's a whole list of people."
Corino also spoke about the New Japan Pro Wrestling and Ring of Honor joint shows, talking about the competitive level the two promotions have. Tonight's Ring of Honor TV on Destination America will showcase several matches from the show.
"Here with the New Japan wrestlers, coupled with the Ring of Honor wrestlers, it's a competition. It was like the home team and the visiting team. There was professionalism but it's a competition," Corino said of the New Japan/ROH shows, which will on display tonight.
Kevin Kelly said that he expects the Bullet Club to break off and have issues with Ring of Honor, as well. You can see the full video of Kelly and Corino's comments above, and be sure to join us for live ROH coverage tonight at 8 pm eastern.
