Video Of Goldberg Spearing Scott Steiner And Delivering Jackhammer, LOW Promoter Comments On Show
As noted earlier, Bill Goldberg returned to a pro wrestling ring this past Sunday at the Legends of Wrestling event at Citi Field in Queens, NY. After the main event, Goldberg came to the aid of Rob Van Dam and delivered a spear to Scott Steiner. Doc Gallows tried to get involved, and received a jackhammer for his efforts. "When Brian Knobs had the foresight to start Legends of Wrestling about 7 years ago, he had visions of what LoW could be and yesterday, in Queens those dreams became a reality," Legends of Wrestling President Louis "Uncle Louie" Gregory told Wrestling Inc. "The Nasty Boys tag team machine was intense; I almost regretted that I was standing ringside for my own safety! Everything culminated with a huge spear and jackhammer by Goldberg and the 10,000+ in attendance erupted! Legendary Hip Hop icon Eric B was in the house and at one point the crowd was chanting his name! I can't wait to get to our next event at Marlins Park on July 31st with more Nasty Boys, Tyrus who was formerly known as Brodus Clay – who is one of my favorites – Mick Foley, Kevin Nash and Bushwhacker Luke. There will be some surprises for that one too."
Gregory noted that there may be another show this year.
"We have something cooking for this fall which will be on a par with yesterday's show if not bigger," Gregory said. "I can't praise Brian Knobs enough for putting together such an amazing company and I am so proud to be a part of it."
