WWE NXT Results (6/3): Major Announcement, Finn Balor Vs. Rhyno, Tag Team Returns To Action

Welcome to our coverage of WWE NXT. Tonight's main event features top contender Finn Balor taking on former ECW and TNA champion Rhyno.

- We see a recap of John Cena vs. Kevin Owens from Elimination Chamber.

Adam Rose vs. Tyler Breeze

Big "We want Kruger/no we don't" chants prior to the match. Rose applies a headlock and stifles several reversal and escape attempts from Breeze. Eventually Breeze dropkicks Rose to the floor but gets dumped to the outside as we go to commercial.

We come back to Adam Rose with a chinlock on Breeze, but Breeze is able to hit a dropkick. Rose answers with one of his own for a two count. Rose lands an awesome spinebuster and turns it over into a Boston Crab, but Breeze gets to the ropes. He then hits a Cactus Jack elbow, but gets hit with the Beauty Shot back inside.

Winner: Tyler Breeze via pinfall (Beauty Shot)

- Solomon Crowe says he feel defeated now, but it's nothing new to him. He said he'll be back in the ring with the NXT Champion.

- A highlight of Dana Brooke's fitness competitions are shown.

- Eva Marie comes out and the crowd totally hates her. She says she wants to compete with the best women in NXT. The crowd chants "you can't wrestle."

- William Regal announces that Kevin Owens vs. Finn Balor for the NXT title will air live from Japan on the WWE Network on July 4.

Carmella (w/ Enzo & Big Cass) vs. Alexa Bliss (w/ Blake & Murphy)

The two brawl early, but Alexa Bliss throws on a chinlock. Carmella eventually breaks out and takes advantage, but Bliss rolls her up and holds the ropes for the win. Enzo, Cass and Carmella can't catch a break.

Winner: Alexa Bliss via pinfall

- Rhyno is backstage and says Balor's theatrics don't affect him. He says he isn't stopping until he's NXT champion.

- We see a recap of Sami Zayn's surgery. He had a torn labrum and a rotator cuff injury.

The Vaudevillains vs. Jason Jordan & Marcus Louis

Gotch and English double team Louis, but he kicks out quickly. Jordan comes in and hits a nice belly to back suplex and applies a chinlock. Louis comes in and applies a hold to English's mandible, and he looks like a horror movie bad guy from the 40's. Gotch gets the hot tag and they hit the uppercut/neckbreaker combo for the win.

Winners: The Vaudevillains via pinfall

- We get a special look at NXT Women's champion Sasha Banks.

- Finn Balor says he's not looking past Rhyno tonight, but he'll win the NXT Title on July 4.

Finn Balor vs. Rhyno

Rhyno overwhelms Balor early on and beats him down in the corner. Eventually Balor knocks Rhyno to the outside and hits a beautiful flip over the top rope to the floor as we go to our final commercial break.

We come back to Rhyno working over Balor with a body scissors. Rhyno taunts as Balor fights back with a big flying forearm, Pele Kick and Slingblade. Rhyno goes for a Gore but Balor rolls him up for the win.

Winner: Finn Balor via pinfall

Rhyno spears Balor on the stage out of nowhere to close the show.
