Former Boxing Champion Was Offered Big Money For Brock Lesnar Match, Why He Turned It Down

Former boxing undisputed world heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis appeared on TSN's Off the Record with Michael Landsberg. During the interview, Lewis was asked about rumors of being offered big money for a shoot match against Brock Lesnar in 2002.

Lewis confirmed the rumor, noting to Landsberg that he was offered close to 5 million pounds. He said that he seriously considered the offer until they said that Lesnar wouldn't be wearing gloves.

Lewis also commented on accompanying The British Bulldog to the ring at SummerSlam '92 at Wembley Stadium in London, England. Lewis carried the Union Flag to the ring and joked about it being a great opportunity for him to show how great he is at holding flags.
