Storm had been with TNA since its inception in June 2002. He, along with Abyss, were the company's only remaining original members.
Primarily a tag team wrestler, Storm has held 13 tag team championships during his time with TNA, winning the NWA World Tag Team Championship a record seven times and the TNA World Tag Team Championship a record six times. On October 18, 2011, Storm won his first and only world title when he defeated Kurt Angle to capture the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.
