Sami Zayn Talks About His Injury, His Feelings When It Occured, Recovery, His Timetable For A Return
Sami Zayn was interviewed by Mick Foley's daughter Noelle or Ringside Collectibles.
Zayn said that today was one of the "greatest days of his life," and noted that the San Diego comic-con was the first he's been to. He then addressed his recent injury and recovery.
"It's moving along. I just got out of my sling literally two days ago, so that feels good. So many people are asking me when, or a specific time frame. I really don't know, I wish I could tell you a date. It's looking like early 2016, late 2015. I'm working really hard every day," Zayn said
Zayn said that he initially felt his shoulder pop when he injured it, but thought that everything was fine. Early into his match with John Cena, however, he knew he was hurt.
"I was like, uh oh," Zayn said. "Then I moved it around a little and it was fine. A minute or two into the match, I took this back suplex and my whole shoulder kind of popped out. As the doctor was talking to me, I asked if he could pop it back in," Zayn said.
He also said that he and the doctor had a full conversation in the ring about whether his shoulder was in the socket or not, and he asked the ref to stand by during the match.
