- UFC Tonight was live from Las Vegas last night, the site of UFC 189. UFC President Dana White appeared, and was asked about UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo pulling out of the bout. White seemed to think making the 145-pound limit was the problem.
"He was medically cleared. But he decided to not fight. He stood to make a lot of money in this fight. The bigger issue was making weight," White said.
This is the fifth UFC fight Aldo has pulled out of in five years, the most in the company in that time frame.
- TMZ has reported that UFC Octagon girl Brittney Palmer called the police last month after an alleged domestic violence situation with husband Aaron Zalewski. The boyfriend had allegedly heard a casting agent call her "babe" over the phone and went off on her.
Palmer said that Zalewski screamed at her to leave, but wouldn't allow her when she tried. She also said that Zalewski threw her down and pinned her to a mattress with his knee in her back, while scratching his own arms to make it look like she attacked him. Zalewski was arrested, and released on $1 million bail the next day. The LA City Attorney will now decide if they want to pursue charges.
