Backstage News On WWE Tough Enough's Josh, WWE Prospect Trying To Avoid Surgery, Veteran Wrestles

- Former WWE star Dan Spivey, who is now 62 and hasn't wrestled since 1995 due to injuries, returned to the ring for Dory Funk Jr.'s !BANG! promotion back on August 1st. Video is above. Spivey and Funk worked a 10-man Japanese Bonsai match. Spivey was also awarded the "Fighting Heart Award."

- Indie star Tommaso Ciampa, who worked a match at last week's WWE NXT TV tapings, is reportedly having neck problems but is trying to avoid surgery. No word yet if WWE is offering him a deal.

- While WWE has stopped burying ZZ on Tough Enough and he wasn't in the bottom three this past week, Josh is still considered the favorite and is a lock to get a WWE contract either way. We noted before that Vince McMahon was high on Josh.
