Dana White Calls Ronda Rousey - Cyborg Cowboys Stadium Report "A Complete Lie"

We reported yesterday that Tito Ortiz appeared on AXS TV and stated that Cris Cyborg told him that the UFC offered her a big fight with Ronda Rousey at AT&T Stadium. Shortly after, UFC President Dana White shot down the claims.

"That was a complete lie," White said to Yahoo Sports. "It's 100 percent a lie. First of all, the UFC doesn't even talk to Tito Ortiz, so let's start there. But we haven't offered any fight to (Cyborg). Tito Ortiz is just making this sh-t up. In no way, shape or form did we offer her a fight against Ronda at Cowboys Stadium. Completely untrue."

The main issue with White's statement is that Ortiz didn't necessarily take responsibility for the claim, he said that Cris "Cyborg" Justino told him of the news. She took to social media to confirm what she said, and the UFC offer.

"I'm not lying nor is Tito- UFC called my manager last Sunday to see if I would fight Ronda at 135 on December 5 at Cowboy Stadium. I said I'm READY!" Cyborg said.

In a statement made to Yahoo Sports prior to Cyborg's tweet, Dana White targeted Ortiz, and said that he wasn't going to perpetuate the rumor.

"The problem is, this kind of thing gets out there and picks up momentum when there is no truth to it. And it was just something that he decided to make up. But it's not true," White said.
