King Barrett Returns To The UK To Begin Filming For New WWE Studios' Project
WWE Superstar King Barrett confirmed via Twitter this afternoon that he had returned to the United Kingdom to begin filming the WWE Studios film, Eliminators.
Eliminators stars Barrett as "Bishop" (no, not the X-Men character) alongside Scott Adkins (Mile High, The Bourne Ultimatum) as "Martin". The film is being directed by Tower Block head James Nunn, and written by the team of Nathan Brookes and Bobby Lee Darby, who penned WWE Studios' See No Evil 2 and 12 Rounds 3: Lockdown. It is scheduled for an unspecified 2016 release.
Here is the official plot synopsis for the film:
A former US Federal Agent must abandon the witness protection program and come out of hiding when his London home is invaded in error due to a wrong address. When the event ends with multiple homicides, the news triggers those hunting him to send Europe's most dangerous assassin to kill him. Now on the run with his daughters life in jeopardy, a determined father must get her to safety before the people he's been hiding from tracks him down.
After a busy week of rehearsals, v excited to start shooting #Eliminators in London tomorrow with @WWEStudios @mrjamesnunn @TheScottAdkins
