Podcast Host Responds To Greg Valentine's Controversial Sexist Comments Made On Her Show

We recently reported on the controversial and ignorant remarks made by WWE Hall of Fame Greg "The Hammer" Valentine on the Filsinger Games podcast, who claimed he would "fire every girl wrestler" and "send them all out to the strip bar".

Wiggy Wigowski, who co-hosts the podcast alongside Tom Filsinger, posted a statement on the incident via her Facebook account this afternoon.

So I've had a number of people ask me about the comments Greg Valentine recently made concerning female wrestlers so I'd just like to clear up a few things.

1. Yes, this did happen on the show I co-host with Tom Filsinger.

2. Yes, I was there when it happened. I hosted the live show like I have for the last 2 years.

3. We NEVER asked for his views on women's wrestling and neither (obviously) myself nor Tom Filsinger, Todd Joerchel or anyone at Filsinger Games agree with his antiquated opinion.

4. Finally, I've been specifically asked why I, as the female host of the show, didn't say anything to him or in general when it happened. Quite frankly, it came out of nowhere and was so unexpected and shocking, I couldn't even think to say anything to him.

Beyond that though, for all the jokes I make about my shows, I take what I try to do seriously and try to be professional. Regardless of Valentine's stance, he was a guest at our convention and I have too much respect for Tom and Todd to make a spectacle worse by feeding into in front of fans who came out for the weekend.

Hope this answers everyone's questions. Thanks for listening and the support.
