Renee Young Tries Her Hand As A "Daily Show" Correspondent, Dean Ambrose Assists

With Jon Stewart ending his 16+ year reign as host of The Daily Show, Renee Young posted a couple of videos on Vimeo last week of herself playing a Daily Show correspondent, while Dean Ambrose filled in as Stewart. In each clip, Renee and Ambrose (who is off-camera) acted out an old skit from the show; one on Dick Cheney's involvement in the Iraq war and another on Harry Reid.

There is speculation that these may have been actual audition videos since people auditioning for the show usually perform an old 'Correspondents Chat,' and the appearance of the video followed the usual industry form of being shot in one-take and above the neck. She also used her real name in the clips. Either way, she did great in the videos and would have made a great correspondent.
