ROH Champion Jay Lethal Wants Match With WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins

Jay Lethal has a full plate, defending both the Ring of Honor World Championship and the ROH World Television championship. But it appears as if he's greedy for more gold.

The leader of Ring of Honor made it clear during an interview this week that he'd like to test his talents against WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, who will be performing in New York, the same city as Lethal this weekend.

"It's an honor to be going against NXT," said Lethal. "We've got to be doing something right since the WWE doesn't claim to pay attention to what anyone else is doing."

Lethal also elaborated on the possibility of a match with Rollins.

"I would love to do that," Lethal told SI Extra Mustard. "How cool would it be if there was a champion versus champion match? There is no way I would turn that down. Whether or not both companies could get this on the same platform is a shot in the dark, but we'd have a tremendous match. I've never got to wrestle Rollins before, either, even though he's a former Ring of Honor world champion, so he's never experienced the 'Lethal Injection.'"

While Lethal walked out of Best In The World in June with two championships after defeating then-world title holder Jay Briscoe. This Sunday, Seth Rollins has an opportunity to do the same, as he's in a title-for-title match with United States champion John Cena.

While it's unlikely the match could occur, the gauntlet has been laid down.
