"Rowdy" Roddy Piper Honored By Madison Square Garden (Photo), Madusa Talks Monster Truck Racing

- Madison Square Garden is paying tribute to "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, who headlined multiple events at the famous venue including the first WrestleMania.

- Madusa, who was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in April as Alundra Blayze, discussed her career in monster truck racing in an interview with Florida newspaper Sun-Sentinel. She explained her transition from the wrestling ring to the race track.

"While I was retiring from wrestling, I was going to be happy and doing other things I wanted to do, and I got a call from Monster Jam, and they asked if I wanted to drive a monster truck," she said. "They didn't have any women, and they wanted a crowd promotion, and hopefully I'd bring little girls over and that was the goal. I am a huge advocate for women and helping them out, transitioning, getting them where they need to be, helping, counseling, guiding."

She continues, "[Monster Jam] expected me to be around for maybe a year or two, if that. And here I am 16 years later, two-time champion, and no other woman has ever hit that pinnacle. I wish they would! I need another woman here to brag with me. (laughs)"
