Sasha Banks Talks Being A Big Eddie Guerrero Fan, Not Knowing He Had Passed At His Tribute Show

On episode 168 of Talk Is Jericho, Chris Jericho welcomed current NXT Women's Champion Sasha Banks to the show. Among other things, Sasha Banks talked about her admiration of the late great Eddie Guerrero and shared a story about attending the first RAW Supershow after Guerrero's unexpected death.

During the interview, Banks claimed that Eddie Guerrero is her all time favorite professional wrestler and called him the greatest of all time. Also, Banks named Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio at Halloween Havoc 1997 as her favorite wrestling match of all time. Banks went on to say that she wanted to be "the female Eddie Guerrero."

In a rather sad story, Banks revealed that she went to the first RAW Supershow following Guerrero's untimely demise. According to Banks, she won tickets to be in the front row the day before the event. Unbeknownst to her, Guerrero passed away prior to the show. Banks, who brought her own "I Love Eddie" sign to the event, assumed "R.I.P. Eddie" signs in the crowd had to do with Guerrero facing off against the Undertaker that night. Banks called missing the opportunity to see Guerrero live and in person "one of the most heartbreaking things ever."
