Tough Enough's GiGi Talks Amanda Beating Her In Bikini Competition, Her Mistake On "Tough Enough"
Brian Fritz recently spoke to Tough Enough contestant GiGi, who was eliminated on this past week's episode. Below are a few highlights:
If she was told going into the match on Tough Enough against Tanner that she was going to be the babyface:
"So, we knew what story we were going to tell. We knew that he was the heel and he was going to win. We didn't speak about our announcements going into the ring. I honestly didn't even think about it. I like playing a heel. I like playing the b? boss kind of girl. That automatically came to me when Chris Jericho announced my name, I put on that character and I thought oh no. No, that's not what I'm playing right now. I'm meant to be playing the babyface. So right before the match started I moved to the other character but it was too late. I'd already been announced. It was my mistake but I don't think that should have cost me the competition to be honest with you. I thought, I know I've done incredibly well with all the challenges I've won but coming out of this I don't regret anything because I know I was the strongest girl competitor. I won the most challenges out of the guys and the girls and I really picked everything up fast. I really think I have the full package, I don't have just one element. What I didn't have in this competition was the fans. I didn't have the votes. I think it could have to do with the fact that I'm from Australia. I don't know. I don't have that American fan base. But we'll work on it."
How she knew Amanda going into the competition:
"So we weren't friends, we knew of each other. We both come from a fitness modeling background and last year I competed at worlds in Las Vegas as a pro bikini model and she was in that competition as well. We didn't get a chance to speak during that but our paths crossed again. I think we were meant to be friends. "
Who finished higher in that competition:
"Oh, you don't want to know. It was Amanda. Amanda is the world bikini champion at the moment. She was first place on the pro stage and I came in fourth. Yeah, not bad by me since it was my second competition. So, she beat me again."
GiGi also discussed what's next, being placed in the final three, her background and more. You can read the full interview by clicking here.
