WWE SmackDown Recap (8/6): Roman Reigns Vs. Rusev, Huge Divas Segment, SummerSlam Challenge

Welcome to our WrestlingINC Smackdown coverage. Our main event for tonight will be Rusev vs. Roman Reigns!

- The show kicks off with the Roddy Piper tribute.

- Roman Reigns comes out and says it's never one on one with Bray Wyatt. He says he wants Harper & Wyatt vs. he & Ambrose at Summerslam. Rusev and Summer Rae come out, and Reigns makes fun of him for dressing Summer Rae up like Lana. Rusev says Reigns has never been backstabbed by a cold fish. Reigns talks a little more trash, but sets up their main event for tonight.

- New Day are shown walking backstage, and they get a production member to do their clap. Xavier Woods pulls out a nerf hoop and Kofi Kingston dunks on the production worker. This is worth watching the show to see.

New Day vs. Prime Time Players & Mark Henry

Woods and Young trade holds until Woods lands a big dropkick. Young takes control and dominates Woods until Kofi comes in and eats a big elbow and an apron backdrop. Woods eats a belly-to-belly on the outside as we go to a commercial break.

We come back to see Titus O'Neil chopping the hell out of Kofi before tagging in Mark Henry, who walks on Kingston. Young gets a tag, but is taken to the corner, where New Day takes turns stomping him for like two minutes. He's put in a cobra clutch and triple teamed before Big E lands a huge splash.

Titus O'Neil gets a hot tag and totally kills New Day. He gets a two off of a powerslam before everything breaks down. Titus tosses Kofi into a World's Strongest Slam for the win.

Winners: Prime Time Players & Mark Henry via pinfall (World's Strongest Slam)

- Backstage New Day go off on an interviewer for being negative. It's hilarious. They start a new chant.

- We see a great Charlotte video package. She says she'll main event WrestleMania one day.

Charlotte (w/ Becky Lynch) vs. Naomi (w/ Team BAD)

The two lock up and trade monkey flips, to no avail until Naomi shakes her booty in Charlotte's face. This gets her a chop and a Figure 8, but Sasha runs in for the DQ.

Winner: Charlotte via DQ

Word is sent to ringside that this is being turned into a tag team match.

Submission Sorority vs. Team BAD (w/ Tamina)

A double hiptoss and elbow drop, Midnight Rockers style on Sasha. Becky follows up with a leg drop and tags to Charlotte, who lands her signature head scissors. Charlotte is sent into the buckle and does the Flair sell to the apron, where Tamina interferes and kicks her. Ref doesn't see it.

Back inside, BAD double teams Charlotte, but only gets a two. The double teaming continues for several minutes, as BAD really works Charlotte over. Sasha applies the straightjacket, then the back stabber, and holds the move.

Charlotte gets out and hot tags Becky, who dominates Naomi with a T-Bone suplex. Sasha is sent outside, but Tamina pulls Charlotte out as well. Naomi hits a big leg drop and applies a straight jacket of her own on Becky as we go to a commercial.

We come back to see Team BAD in control, and Becky is in a bad way. Naomi hits a great bulldog into the corner, and Sasha follows up with the double knees. Charlotte finally gets a hot tag and hits chops, a neckbreaker and a spear on Sasha before Naomi breaks the count. The ref just lets Naomi in the ring. Small package for Naomi, pin.

Winners: Team BAD via pinfall (small package)

- We see clips of Seth Rollins/Neville from Monday.

Stardust vs. Zack Ryder

Stardust is dominant from the opening bell, attacking Ryder and working on his back with a bow-and-arrow hold. Ryder makes a brief comeback with a dropkick, but misses the Rough Ryder and eats the Queen's Crossbow for the pin.

Winner: Stardust via pinfall (Queen's Crossbow)

Stardust says Stephen Amell will be on Raw next week.

Roman Reigns vs. Rusev (w/ Lana)

The two start off going back and forth with big strikes until Rusev sends Roman Reigns into the steel ring post and to the outside of the ring. After a commercial, we come back to see Rusev still in control, until Roman Reigns fights back and lands about ten clotheslines and a Drive By on Rusev. Reigns follows up with a big back suplex.

Rusev comes back with a sloppy spinning heel kick, but it gets two. Reigns plants Rusev with a huge sitdown powerbomb for a nearfall. Reigns eats a superkick while going for a Superman punch, but hits the punch anyway and both men are down. Summer Rae looks like she's getting involved, but Lana comes down and beats her up.

Rusev is distracted, but hits another superkick for a two count. Reigns spear for the win.

Winner: Roman Reigns via pinfall (Spear)

Bray Wyatt appears on the TitanTron after the match. Bray Wyatt accepts his challenge.
