Bellator Making This Weekend A WrestleMania-Type Show, Fedor Speaks Out, Wrestling Move Ends Fight
- MMA Legend Fedor Emelianenko spoke to AXS TV this week about his return to the sport. While his English wasn't solid enough to transcribe, he did say that he hasn't spoken to Dana White personally, but he plans on announcing who he's signing with in a couple of weeks. Fedor also stated that he's definitely fighting again. You can see the video of Fedor's interview above.
- According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, tonight's big Bellator/GLORY Kickboxing show is going to be a huge annual event for Bellator. Meltzer said that the people he's talked to have said the production values are going to be top notch, and they want to turn this event into something like WrestleMania every year. UFC does similar things with their International Fight Week festivities in July.
Tonight's show is headlined by undefeated Bellator Light Heavyweight Champion Liam McGeary defending against UFC Hall of Famer Tito Ortiz.
- During last night's WSOF 24 show, Ben Fodor defeated Roberto Yong with a rarely-used head scissors. No word on if Yong will seek out Austin Aries for tips on how to kip-up out of the hold. You can see the video below.
