How Was WWE SmackDown Viewership Against NFL Season Opener?
Last night's episode of WWE SmackDown was up from last week's record-low, however it was still low enough to be the second lowest non-holiday audience for a first-run episode of the show on Syfy. It went up against the NFL season opener on NBC pitting the New England Patriots against the Pittsburgh Steelers, which averaged 27.4 million viewers.

SmackDown averaged 2.040 million viewers, up 3% from last week's 1.981 million viewers. For the night, SmackDown was #5 in total viewers, as well as #3 in the 18-49 demo.
