Ring Of Honor TV Recap (9/30): Nakamura Vs. Adam Cole, KUSHIDA Vs. Matt Sydal, 4 Corner Match

Welcome to Wrestling Inc's coverage of Ring of Honor on TV! Tonight's show features a huge main event between Adam Cole and Shinsuke Nakamura!

KUSHIDA vs. Matt Sydal

KUSHIDA completely owns Sydal in the first grappling exchange. Sydal can't get anything going, as KUSHIDA just keeps reversing him, leading to a couple of dropkicks. Finally Sydal has enough, and catches KUSHIDA with an enziguri and goes to the work on his leg with a modified STF.

We come back from a commercial to see Sydal sent down to the floor, and KUSHIDA does an insane dive from the top rope to the floor. Sydal makes it back in the ring, but gets moonsaulted and kicks out at two. Sydal kicks the leg of KUSHIDA, but eats knees on a standing moonsault and gets put in the Hoverboard Lock. Sydal manages to make it to the ropes to break the hold.

The two men have a chop battle, but Sydal catches KUSHIDA with a reverse rana for a two count. KUSHIDA applies another Hoverboard Lock. Sydal gets out, and the two trade huge strikes. Sydal drops KUSHIDA and lands the Shooting Star Press from the top for the win.

Winner: Matt Sydal via pinfall (Shooting Star Press)

That was a huge win for Matt Sydal.

Four Corner Survival
Adam Page (w/ Decade) vs. Moose (w/ Stokely Hathaway) VS. Watanabe vs. Will Ferrara

Ferrara handles Page early, but Moose comes in and clotheslines him. Page comes back in and picks up the pieces with a nice three quarter nelson fallaway suplex on Ferrara for two. Watanabe comes in, but gets sent to the floor, and Moose tosses Page on top of him. Colby Corino distracts Moose, but only long enough to get Page speared. Will Ferrara lifts Moose, but can't do anything with it. Watanabe then suplexes Moose, and hits a Roaring Elbow and STO on Ferrara for the win.

Winner: Watanabe via pinfall (STO)

- We see a recap of Bushwacker Luke coming to the aid of Cheeseburger when Brutal Bob Evans attacked. Luke shows up for the live crowd and licks King Corino.

Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Adam Cole

Nakamura gets an insane ovation from the crowd. Cole sends Nakamura to the floor as we go to a commercial break. We come back to see Cole superkicking Nakamura outside, then going inside and working the King of Strong Style over. Nakamura fights back with PRIDE-style knees and takes control of the match.

Cole hits two superkicks to Nakamura's leg, then another to the face, then puts the boots to Nakamura's leg as we go to our last commercial break. When we come back, Cole has a figure four applied in the middle of the ring. Nakamura transitions into an armbar, then scores with an enziguri that leaves both men on the mat.

Nakamura goes for a Boma Ye, but Cole slugs him with one of his own. Cole hits another an German suplex for two, then goes after Todd Sinclair for a slow count. Nakamura comes back and lands a big knee from the second rope.

The two trade strikes, and Cole superkicks Nakamura, but then eats a Boma Ye for two. Nakamura charges up, but Cole spits in his face and hits a fireman's carry neckbreaker. Cole then gets a Landslide, but Nakamura hits a Boma Ye for the win.

Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura via pinfall (Boma Ye)
