TNA Losing Momentum In The UK, Dixie Carter Notes From Paris Trip, GFW Vs. TNA Lethal Lockdown
- TNA President Dixie Carter had dinner with 6 people who won a "biggest TNA fan" contest while she was in Paris this past week. The promotion was arranged by TV channel MCS, which airs TNA programming. They were joined by TNA's French announce team Celian Varini and Gregory Deas, who also interviewed Dixie for a segment that was to air with Impact on MCS this weekend. TNA's website noted that Dixie also spent time with MMA star Xavier Foupa-Pokam, who is an announcer for UFC in France on MCS sister channel Kombat Sport. Celian made this teaser to TNA's website:
"It was an awesome experience to have Dixie with us in Paris. She told us about future plans, and it got us exited about what is coming for TNA. Wrestling fans in France, and all over the world, need to stay tuned."
- The UK has always been a strong market for TNA but interest for the company there has declined, according to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The last Impact Wrestling episode in August drew 136,000 viewers on Challenge TV, down from 161,000 for the same episode in 2014 and down from 235,000 in 2013. It's worth noting that these numbers are for the same station with no timeslot changes. Impact was regularly drawing over 200,000 viewers for years before that.
- TNA posted the following to hype Wednesday's GFW vs. TNA Lethal Lockdown match on Impact Wrestling:
