WWE SmackDown Recap (9/10): Champion Vs. Champion Lumberjack Main Event, Superstar Returns To Ring

Welcome to our WrestlingINC.com Live SmackDown coverage. Seth Rollins, Ryback, Kevin Owens, The Dudley Boyz, The Wyatt Family, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose are all set to appear.

- The Wyatt Family is out, and they run down Reigns and Ambrose. Bray Wyatt tells Jimmy Uso he has a choice tonight, and the wrong one has consequences.

Cesaro vs. Miz

Cesaro dominates early with a big dropkick and a double stomp, but Miz attacks Cesaro's injured ribs. Cesaro lands a suplex, but Miz fights back immediately and brutalizes the Swiss Superman. Cesaro locks on the Sharpshooter and wins.

Winner: Cesaro via submission (Sharpshooter)

- We see Reigns backstage, who says it was Ambrose's idea to bring Jimmy Uso to their team tonight to face New Day. Uso shows up and says he's been sitting at the announce desk all summer and is ready for action. Reigns said he didn't want any more of his family involved.

Paige (w/ PCB) vs. Sasha Banks (w/ Team BAD)

The ref ejects both teams right out of the gate. Paige destroys Sasha with a knee, then follows Banks outside with a somersault senton. Banks kicks Paige off the apron as we go to the commercial break.

We come back to see Sasha Banks working a straitjacket hold. Paige works out of it and gives Banks two huge kicks. Banks slaps Paige, and Paige looks hurt. She spears Sasha and the two brawl outside, then back into the ring and have to be bulled apart.

Official Result: No Contest

Both teams return and all hell breaks loose. This probably should have been on Raw instead of Smackdown.

- We see a recap of Raw's main event.

- Seth Rollins is interviewed backstage and says Monday was the lowest point of his career. He says that he's going to utilize both opportunities at Night of Champions to prove he's the man. Sheamus shows up and says he might end up having three matches.

New Day vs. Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns & Jimmy Uso

Ambrose and Reigns work Woods over in the early going. Woods manages to tag Big E, who fattens Ambrose. Kofi then gets his licks in by tripping Ambrose and hitting him with a flying axehandle.

Jimmy Uso gets a hot tag and takes out all of New Day. Jimmy Uso looks like a guy who's been waiting five months to wrestle. He does the Air Uso on all of New Day. Big E grabs Uso from behind and hiptosses him over the ropes to the floor as we go to a commercial.

We come back to see the New Day stomp, and Xavier Woods pulls out his trombone to add salt to Uso's wounds. Uso fights back and superkicks Woods in the chops, and both men are down.

Reigns gets the hot tag and obliterates New Day. He goes through his signature spots, hitting the drive by and Samoan drop. Woods catches Reigns with a DDT and everything breaks down. Dirty Deeds on Kofi, then Ambrose clotheslines Big E after being sent into the rail. Superman punch to Woods, and then the lights go out.

They turn on and Uso is being choked out by Braun Strowman on the ramp. We hear Bray Wyatt's voice say "They all fall down."

Official Result: No Contest

Well, another one bites the dust.

The Ascension (w/ Stardust) vs. Lucha Dragons

Viktor and Conor take Sin Cara out quickly. STO and Fall of Man does it. They win.

Winners: The Ascension via pinfall (Fall of Man)

Cosmic Wasteland jumps Lucha Dragons, but Neville comes out and saves the two geeks that got pinned clean in a minute flat.

- The Bella Army is backstage, and Nikki tells Renee Young that Charlotte is jealous of her. Charlotte shows up and says she's not scared or jealous. Charlotte says Nikki will be known as the woman who "almost" became the longest reigning champion.

Lumberjack Match
Seth Rollins vs. Ryback

Ryback is in control early, and tosses Rollins outside. The heel side of the ring doesn't toss him back in, but the babyface side does. Ryback is shown preferential treatment by the babyfaces, an decks Bo Dallas. Ryback is tossed out and the faces an heels square off before our final commercial.

We return to see Rollins giving Ryback a Slingblade and a neckbreaker that only get a one count. Ryback manages a fallaway slam, but Rollins pounces after recovering faster than Ryback. All hell breaks loose ringside, as Big Show KO punches Mark Henry. The babyfaces back him up the apron

Ryback fights off the heels, and only gets a two on a spinebuster. Ryback then back body drops Rollins onto a group of lumberjacks. The heel lumberjacks then beat up Ryback, until the babyfaces come to the rescue. Neville moonsaults onto the whole group of people, and there's no DQ. Ryback flips Rollins out of a Pedigree and hits a Meat Hook, but Owens trips Ryback. Rollins Pedigrees Ryback for the win.

Winner: Seth Rollins via pinfall (Pedigree)

That was a mess. Kevin Owens grins as he walks up the ramp.
