Vince Russo On How He Would Book Undertaker Vs. Brock Lesnar And Seth Rollins Vs. Kane

Recently, on episode 4 of Nuclear Heat here on Wrestling Inc., host Vince Russo shared his thoughts on how he would book the Hell In A Cell match between the Undertaker and Brock Lesnar and the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match between Seth Rollins and Kane this Sunday at WWE Hell In A Cell.

According to Russo, he would book the matches the same way insofar as he would put over the younger performers in both matches in decisive fashion.

In regards to the Undertaker vs. Lesnar, Russo said that it is possible to give Lesnar the win while protecting the Undertaker, as Lesnar can be portrayed as the unstoppable beast and the Undertaker can be the veteran who refuses to give up.

"Obviously, the story of the match should be that Brock has more stamina than Taker," said Russo. "He's a lot younger than Taker. Taker's never going to quit. There is going to be no quitting in Taker. He's going to keep trying to come back and back and back and Lesnar puts him over by not believing that I can't put this guy away till finally Brock beats him. Boom! Clean! 1-2-3! Decisive!" Russo explained, "you've got this beast in the prime of his life in the ring against a man into his 50s. I think Brock has to have a decisive win over Taker! I mean, I just do! I mean, almost to the point of Taker saying after the match, 'that was the last match. I can't do this again. Brock Lesnar just ended it!' I mean, put Brock over now!"

As for the Rollins vs. Kane match, Russo said that no one on the WWE roster needs a decisive win more than Rollins at this point, as WWE creative has failed to establish the Seth Rollins character.

"We don't know who Seth Rollins is. I thought they had a good opportunity for him to go off on his own and earn some credibility after he beat Dean Ambrose on his own when he said he didn't need anybody. But rather than go in that direction, he went backwards and he started kowtowing to Triple H again and all that stuff, which I thought really, really hurt him."

Russo stated that he would love to see Rollins come away with a decisive win over Kane, as it is time for WWE to start building for the future.

"Beat Kane! Listen, I don't think there is anybody that believes that Rollins is just going to have a decisive victory over Kane because they've painted Rollins as a chicken s–t heel. Rollins runs away. That's how they've painted the guy, but if you give him a decisive victory over Kane you're going to look at this man differently." Russo continued, "I understand you've got to protect Kane, but going back to business, Kane is in the twilight of his career. Kane [has] been around for a very long time, 18 years as an active wrestler on the WWE roster! Rollins is the future. Rollins is your champ right now. You've got to build Rollins! So no disrespect for Kane, you've got to cover him in the match, but Rollins, in my opinion, needs a decisive victory."

In addition to fantasy booking the big matches lined up for Sunday's WWE Hell In A Cell, Russo provided some history on the concept of the Hell In A Cell match and shared his memories of the Mankind vs. the Undertaker Hell In A Cell match from WWE King Of The Ring 1998.
