WWE NXT Announcement Update, Natalya Talks Japan's Hiroshi Hase, WWE NXT Live Event Branding
- WWE's website has an article on former WCW International World Heavyweight Champion Hiroshi Hase, who was recently appointed as Japan's new Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. Hase was eventually trained by Stu Hart at the legendary Hart Family Dungeon in Canada. Natalya commented on Hase:
"My family had a great relationship with Hiro Hase, and his reputation speaks for itself. He was known to pretty much anybody that met him as a stand-up, standout person, which is probably why he's doing so well in his field today. Hase had a very similar style to my Uncle Owen. They were both high-flying and extremely agile. I remember Owen was the first gaijin to win the IGWP Junior Heavyweight Championship after defeating Hase."
- For what it's worth, all WWE NXT live events starting next month will be branded as, "WWE Presents NXT" instead of just WWE NXT.
- We noted last week that there was expected to be an announcement on new WWE NXT signings. The announcement did not happen obviously but word is that it's still coming, perhaps this week.
