WWE NXT Live Event Results From Nashville (10/2): Title Matches, Possible Injury, Samoa Joe, More
- Thanks to longtime reader Rodrigo Ortiz for texting the following WWE NXT live event results from tonight's show at the War Memorial Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee:
* The crowd is hot and there are camera men here
* Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady defeated Chad Gable and Jason Jordan in a really fun match. Gable worked like a perfect heel
* Bull Dempsey defeated Elias Samson after interrupting his guitar playing. They lost the crowd but Bull-Fit seemed over some
* Bayley retained the NXT Women's Title over Emma and Alexa Bliss in a really good Triple Threat. Bayley gave out hugs before and after the match. The new evil Emma is great and Bliss proved she can hang with the more experienced Divas
* Samoa Joe defeated Baron Corbin by submission in another awesome match. Corbin got some good offense in and played a good heel but Joe was over big time
Intermission
* Apollo Crews defeated Tye Dillinger. Apollo has some really cool moves and looked like a real Superstar. Dillinger was great as usual, carrying his load and playing a good heel with the crowd. Crews won with the press and standing moonsault
* Eva Marie comes out to huge nuclear heat and will be facing Carmella. The match ended pretty quickly as they went to a pin after Carmella took a bad bump and hurt her head. She was crying and Dr. Chris Amann came out with Drake Younger to check her out, then help her to the back. Hopefully it was just a stinger but there is no love for Eva in Nashville. They chanted "please retire" at her but she took it well
* The Vaudevillains defeated The Mechanics to retain the NXT Tag Team Titles. Excellent tag team match, lots of good playing to the crowd from both teams
* Finn Balor defeated Tyler Breeze to retain the NXT Title in a great main event. Breeze had some pop for his entrance and Balor came out to do the DX crotch chop. They tore the house down, one of the best matches in WWE this year but maybe it was just because we're live. Finn won with the Coup de Grace and left showing love to Nashville. Perfect way to end an amazing show. If NXT is anywhere near you I suggest making the trip
