WWE SmackDown Recap (10/1): Intercontinental Championship Match, Big Match Set For Hell In A Cell

Welcome to our WrestlingINC.com SmackDown coverage. Tonight's show features an Intercontinental Championship match between Kevin Owens and Ryback.

- Seth Rollins comes out yelling about Kane not being of sound mind. This brings out Kane, who plays dumb. He says that he'll be ringside tonight while the demon Kane is wrestling with the Dudley Boyz to take on Rollins & New Day. Well, then.

Bella Army vs. Team BAD

Sasha smacks Brie around to start off the match, but Brie Bella does the Daniel Bryan kicks to a good reaction. Naomi drops her ass across Brie's torso, then Tamina double clotheslines Fox and Brie.

Nikki gets the tag and applies a headlock. She can't get Tamina off her feet with shoulder blocks and eats one of her own, followed by Samoan drop. Naomi and Sasha hit baseball slide dropkicks as we go to commercial.

We come back to see the Bella Army dominating Naomi, sliding her out of the ring, face first to the floor. Naomi works out of a Fox headlock, and both women are taken out with a double clothesline. Sasha gets the hot tag and the crowd goes wild as she takes out Nikki with a running knee, then her signature double knees.

Everyone ends up in the ring, then they all get tossed out except for Nikki and Sasha. Sasha hits the Bank Statement and gets the submission win. The crowd went nuts for this.

Winner: Team BAD via submission (Bank Statement)

- New Day runs into Seth Rollins backstage. These four are hilarious together. New Day try to get him to clap. Instead they get him to chant "I'm the man." Corporate Kane shows up smiling.

- Charlotte and Becky Lynch are backstage, and Paige confronts them. Charlotte says she's left them with no choice. Natalya shows up and tells Paige if she ever disrespects her again, she'll be sorry they ever met.

Intercontinental Championship
Kevin Owens (c) vs. Ryback

Ryback presses Owens overhead, but impressively hits a delayed suplex when Owens escapes out the back. Ryback follows up with a Thesz press before getting posted by Owens. An Owens DDT gets a two count as we go to a commercial break. We come back to see Owens landing a senton for two, then a neckbreaker.

Ryback catches Owens with a belly-to-belly suplex, then pushes him down repeatedly. Ryback then hits a sitout press slam, and no sells some chops from Owens and proceeds to beat down Owens in the corner. Ryback walks right into a superkick from Owens for two, then Owens pleads with the ref.

Ryback scores a big spinebuster and a Meat Hook. He sets up for Shellshocked, but Owens leaves the ring. A double clothesline leaves both men on the floor. Ryback makes it to the ring, but Owens doesn't even try to get in.

Winner: Ryback via countout

The two brawl after the match and Ryback hits Shellshocked.

- We get a Big Show vs. Brock Lesnar preview for the MSG show.

- This is the TENTH Stardust/Neville match and the fourth Cosmic Wasteland vs. Neville/Lucha Dragons match.

Cosmic Wasteland vs. Neville & Lucha Dragons

Cosmic Wasteland beat down Kalisto briefly until Neville comes in and hits a standing star press on Stardust. Stardust goes after Neville's leg as we go to a commercial. We come back to see Viktor hitting an awesome second rope Michinoku Driver on Neville for two.

Kalisto gets the hot tag and takes out all three of the heels before scoring a rolling kick on Stardust. A big DDT plants Stardust, but Viktor breaks the count. He's sent outside, where Sin Cara hits a suicide dive on him. Disaster kick from Stardust to Neville, but Neville returns with a superkick. Kalisto hits his finish on Conor for the win.

Winners: Neville & Lucha Dragons via pinfall (Salida Del Sol)

- The Wyatts come out, and Bray says he proved Monday that Roman Reigns is mortal, and that he is forever. He says "anybody but you, Roman." This brings out Reigns alone. He gets in Wyatt's face and takes his mic away. Wyatt keeps Strowman and Harper from jumping Reigns. Roman just says "Hell in a Cell," and leaves.

- Corporate Kane is indeed at ringside for the main event.

New Day & Seth Rollins (w/ Xavier Woods) vs. The Dudley Boyz & Kane

Demon Kane doesn't come out, so the Dudley Boyz are stuck 3-on-2. D-Von gets jumped, but The Dudleys square off with the heels as we go to our final commercial. We come back to see Rollins and New Day doing the New Day stomp.

Rollins hits Corporate Kane and D-Von with a suicide dive, and Kane is helped off as Rollins yells at him. Rollins follows Corporate Kane up the ramp and yells at him to get in the seat. Corporate Kane just smiles and continues to the back. The Dudleyz clear the ring of everyone after.

Kane appears and attacks Rollins, who runs off. Kofi is hit with a 3D, and that's a wrap.

Winners: The Dudley Boyz & Kane via pinfall (3D)

Kane poses with the title after the match and takes out the Dudley Boyz and New Day with Chokeslams, including a Tombstone to Xavier Woods.
