CM Punk Talks About His Beliefs, Donald Trump Running For President, Roddy Piper Being His Hero

One year ago, CM Punk rocked the wrestling world, when he and Colt Cabana released an Art Of Wrestling Podcast talking about his exit from the WWE. This Thanksgiving, things are a little more calm.

Recently at a live q&a, a fan brought up a question about CM Punk's religious beliefs, and if he thought that may affect his professional life.

"We live in a world where Donald Trump is running for President, and that's f–king weird. I'm never concerned about my beliefs hurting me in any way. I'd rather lose a job than have to lie," Punk said in response to the question.

Punk's Q&A happened at a showing of They Live, the Rowdy Roddy Piper classic. Punk said that he was selfishly happy to make the trip to Jacksonville, where the showing was held.

"This was super cool for me to come and bulls–t about Rowdy Roddy Piper, because he's awesome. I don't have a lot of heroes, so to speak, and he's definitely one of them now," said Punk.

As of now, there's no date set for CM Punk's UFC debut, but company President Dana White did say that Punk won't require surgery on his injured shoulder.
