WWE Thanksgiving SmackDown Recap (11/26): Number One Contender Match, New Day Cooks, Gobbledy Gooker

Welcome to our WrestlingINC.com coverage of this Thanksgiving edition of Smackdown. Tonight's main event is Dean Ambrose vs. Tyler Breeze vs. Dolph Ziggler for a shot at the IC title!

Roman Reigns comes out and talks about how he and the Usos used to wrestle in the house, yard, beach and trampoline. He says they dreamed they'd win the WWE World Heayvweight Title, which he did Sunday. Sheamus comes out and makes fun of Reigns' short....reign. Reigns invites Sheamus down to the ring, but Sheamus said Reigns' problem is that he doesn't think things through. Reigns says he'll break Sheamus' jaw and back at TLC. Believe that.

Dudley Boyz vs. Wyatt Family (w/ Bray Wyatt & Luke Harper)

D-Von drops Rowan with a quick clothesline, before he and Bubba Ray score a big double suplex. Strowman is tagged in, and Bubba applies some holds, but Strowman powers out and runs over him with a clothesline and body slam. Behind the refs back, Harper attacks Bubba Ray as we head to a commercial break.

We come back to see Strowman working over the arm of Bubba Ray. Rowan is tagged in, giving Bubba the opening to get the hot tag to D-Von, who totally dominates Rowan. The Dudley Boyz knock Strowman out of the ring, allowing them to hit Rowan with the backdrop/neckbreaker. D-Von grabs a table, but Harper interferes.

Winners: Dudley Boyz via DQ

D-Von gets choked out, and the Wyatts put Bubba Ray through a table!

- We get a fantastic New Day WWEShop Black Friday ad.

Paige vs. Becky Lynch

Lynch is dominant early, sending Paige reeling after a drop toe hold. Paige comes back with a kick. We come back from a commercial to see Paige firmly in control until Becky rolls her up for a two count and hits a clothesline. Becky goes for DisArmor, but Paige rolls her up and holds the ropes for the win.

Winner: Paige via pinfall

- New Day is backstage with Team BAD for the first annual New Day Potluck. Heath Slater shows up with Slater Slaw, but gets kicked out after they find a band-aid in it. Adam Rose brings rabbit stew. The Ascension gets kicked out for not bringing anything. Xavier Woods shows up as the Gobbledy Gooker. This was something.

- Zeb Colter and Del Rio come out to the ring. Colter says he taught Swagger all he knows, and that he's a hater. Del Rio said Swagger should be thankful that he allows Swagger to keep walking.

Alberto Del Rio vs. Jack Swagger

Del Rio and Swagger go at it in the corner, trading strikes and momentum until Del Rio DDTs Swagger for a two count. Swagger comes back with a big double leg slam that sends ADR outside of the ring. Swagger then clotheslines Del Rio over the barricade and stalks Zeb. Del Rio wallops Swagger with the chair. Second DQ finish in about 30 minutes.

Winner: Jack Swagger via DQ

Jack Swagger turns the tides and attacks Del Rio with the chair.

- The Usos are backstage, where they run into the Gobbledy Gooker. They hatch a plan as the segment ends.

Lucha Dragons vs. New Day (w/ Gobbledy Gooker)
The Gooker is out with New Day. The Dragons hit an assisted senton before Cara rolls up Kofi after a flying huracanrana attempt. Big E and Kofi dance, then knock Sin Cara to the outside of the ring as we go to commercial.

The New Day Stomp is in effect when the break ends, followed by a Big E splash. Kalisto gets the hot tag and spikes Kofi with a rana. The Gobbledy Gooker grabs Kofi's foot and Kalisto lands Salida Del Sol for the win.

Winners: Lucha Dragons via pinfall (Salida Del Sol)

Xavier Woods is duct taped in his underwear hopping out from the back with one of the Usos. Jey was in the outfit! The Usos and Dragons beat up New Day, culminating with a Gobbledy Splash.

- We see a backstage Tyler Breeze promo on a cell phone, where he says he'll beat Ambrose and Ziggler on his way to becoming IC Champion.

- We see a video package celebrating the Undertaker's 25 years.

- Ambrose is backstage saying he's worth betting on.

- Kevin Owens comes to the ring for the number one contender's match.

Number one contender match for the Intercontinental Title
Dean Ambrose vs. Tyler Breeze vs. Dolph Ziggler

Ambrose throws his hoody at Owens, which Owens says he's keeping. Breeze lands a big kick on Ziggler at ringside, but Ambrose flies over the top rope onto Breeze, then Ziggler connects with a clothesline to lead us to our last commercial break.

Ziggler and Ambrose are pushed off the top rope by Breeze as we come back. Ziggler splashes Breeze in the corner, but gets catapulted by Ambrose, who also hits an elbow off the top to Breeze. Ambrose and Ziggler sandwich Breeze with body presses that leave everyone down. Breeze superkicks Ambrose, then Ziggler superkicks Breeze to get a two count.

Ziggler lands a Zig Zag on Ambrose, but Breeze breaks the count. Breeze goes for the Unprettier, but leaves himself open for Dirty Deeds! Ambrose wins!

Winner: Dean Ambrose via pinfall (Dirty Deeds)

Ambrose pushes Owens, but Owens walks away.
