Roman Reigns Talks WWE Title Win, Being Booed At The Royal Rumble, 2016 Expectations, More On ESPN
New WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns appeared on tonight's ESPN Off The Top Rope segment on SportsCenter in the 9pm EST hour. Coach called it his favorite segment of the week. He named the Top Move from the week to be Kalisto's Salida del Sol from the top of the ladder at TLC, the Top Match was The Wyatt Family vs. Team Extreme on RAW, the Top Return was Vince McMahon and the Top Moment was Roman Reigns winning the WWE World Heavyweight Title.
Reigns then joined Coach and had his title over his shoulder. Coach asks how Reigns' 2015 has been personally and professionally. Reigns says it's been crazy and he would not have predicted it. It started at the Royal Rumble when the reactions didn't go "their way" and from there he was scratching and crawling, dealing with adversity. He says it was fate for everything to happen how it did and come back to Philadelphia, and to happen on his daughter's birthday. Coach asks if Reigns realizes what he did in the past 48 hours and who he did it to, mainly Vince McMahon and Triple H. Reigns says he was kept away from the title for too long and now we will see what happens. Coach asks how it was growing up in a wrestling family like Reigns' and he says they were always competing in some way.
Coach also asks about WrestleMania 32 and 2016, asking what Reigns thinks it looks like for him. Reigns says he just wants to continue to stay healthy. He learned last year that injury can come at any time. He's looking to stay healthy and bring the big fight. 2016 is all about defending the title to him. Reigns gave a shout-out to his daughter and said he's bringing the title him to her.
