UFC Fighter Critical Of CM Punk, Goldberg On If Wrestling Or Fighting Is More Likely, LOW, More

- I recently appeared on The Bruce Collins Show, which you can check out in the video above (my interview starts at the 10:00 mark). The show is broadcast on WWPR 1490 AM on Friday nights in the Bradenton / Tampa / Sarasota market. During the interview we discussed Wrestling Inc., how it started, how wrestling has changed since the site started, the future of TNA, NXT, the current WWE product being stale and more.

- Goldberg will be making a rare live appearance at the Legends of Wrestling event on Saturday, January, 23rd at the Miccosukee Resort & Gaming's Entertainment Dome in Miami, FL. Joining Goldberg will be Kurt Angle, Mick Foley, Kevin Nash, Ricky Steamboat, "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, Scott Steiner, Jimmy Hart, Koko B. Ware, Butchwacker Luke, "Leaping" Lanny Poffo, Tommy Dreamer, Chavo Guerrero, Greg "The Hammer" Valentine, Mr. Anderson, Gagrel, and The Nasty Boys. There will be a meet & greet at 4pm with an extremely limited amount of tickets available. You can get purchase tickets at miccosukee.com/events.

- Speaking of Goldberg, Sporting News MMA writer Steven Muehlhausen recently spoke with him, which you can read here. During the interview, Goldberg was asked which would be more likely: fighting or going back to having a wrestling match.

"Combat sports, for sure," Goldberg, said. "Like I said, it's all dependent upon me and I kind of got lost in the shuffle with these movies. I shot another movie, 'Enter the Fist' after 'Check Point,' and then we are really working on this TV show now. The good thing about it is it doesn't have a time limit on it. Whether it happens next week or next year, it's really not limited by time because I'm not going to say I've stopped Father Time, but I'm in tremendous shape comparatively. It's pretty amazing that I'm still able to do some of things that I'm able to do. Bram will tell you, ask him with our little fight scene. It's a good way to test yourself. I still think it's a plausible situation."

- Sports Illustrated has an interview with UFC welterweight John "Doomsday" Howard, who fights Tim Means at tonight's UFC Fight Night: Namajunas vs. VanZant event in Las Vegas. During the interview, Howard talked about CM Punk signing with the UFC.

"Phil Brooks got a pass to the UFC because of his notoriety," said Howard. "Maybe he is a legit caliber UFC fighter, but I want to be the guy he fights to prove he belongs in the UFC. I'm smaller than him. He's a middleweight and I'm a welterweight, but I'll come up in weight. If he whips my butt, I'll eat my words?but let's see him prove it against me."
