Why John Cena Has Been Hosting NBC's "Today", Cena Expected To Receive Offers From Hollywood, More

- The recent co-host gigs for John Cena on NBC's "Today" show are part of NBCUniversal's attempt to change the image of pro wrestling.

We've noted how NBCU helped WWE and the USA Network secure better advertising recently. NBCU has a lot riding on the wrestling business as USA Network, which has been NBCU's most-profitable network, begins airing WWE programming in 5 of its 21 weekly primetime hours next week. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter points out that it's very important to be able to sell those 5 hours to better sponsors than what they have been able to in the past.

Going back to Cena, he will likely start getting more offers from Hollywood due to his look and the fact that his ability to do comedy is starting to get noticed. This was expected earlier this year but Cena h as really received a lot of praise after the recent performances in Trainwreck, Sisters and Daddy's Home.
