WWE Smackdown Recap (12/31): Last Show Of 2015, Reigns And Ambrose Team Up, Duo Splits Up, New Day

Welcome to Wrestling Inc's coverage of the New Year's Eve edition of SmackDown! Tonight's show will be the last edition ever on Syfy as the show moves to USA next week!

- New Day come out with party hats, celebrating the new year. They said they have no New Year's resolutions, because they're perfect. Instead, they compiled a list of resolutions for everyone else. They say that every WWE fan needs to wear glasses and hearing aids so they can witness the greatness. The second is a New Day journal, for fans to chronicle New Day's greatness. The third is to sing "New Day rocks" every day.

Lucha Dragons interrupt, and Sin Cara is in a sling. They challenge all three of New Day to a match, and New Day laughs because of Cara's injury. Kalisto says he has friends, and brings out the Dudley Boyz, who have a "Happy New Year" table.

Dudley Boyz & Kalisto (w/ Sin Cara) vs. New Day

The heels take control early, which culminates in Kalisto getting yanked off of the apron much like Sin Cara did on Raw. Kalisto eventually makes a big comeback and hits Salida Del Sol on Kofi Kingston for the win. Lucha Dragons and Dudley Boyz celebrate in the ring after the victory.

Winners: Dudley Boyz & Kalisto via pinfall (Salida Del Sol)

After the match, Xavier Woods gets Superbombed through the table by Bubba Ray Dudley.

Goldust vs. Tyler Breeze (w/ Summer Rae)

Goldust outsmarts Breeze and lands a few early arm drags before walking into a kick. Goldust looks really sharp since he's returned to the ring. Although he manages a spinebuster, Goldust becomes a victim to Breeze tripping him into the turnbuckle and winning with his foot on the ropes.

Winner: Tyler Breeze via pinfall

Post-match, Tyler Breeze and Summer Rae announce that they're splitting up. They leave the fans with one last gorgeous selfie.

- Bo Dallas sees Axel backstage, and Axel says he's going to win the Royal Rumble this year. Bo Dallas says Axel smells. Dolph Ziggler shows up, and Bo Dallas makes fun of Ziggler for not being funny. Ziggler says they have a match against each other. Ziggler pretends he's going to superkick Bo and scares him.

Team Bad vs. Alicia Fox and Brie Bella

I guess Alicia and Brie are babyfaces tonight. Naomi and Tamina beat the hell out of Alicia Fox until she manages to get the hot tag to Brie. Brie lands the Daniel Bryan kicks and avoids the Rear View before hitting Tamina with Knee Mode. A Bella Buster on Naomi wins the match for Brie and Fox.

Winners: Brie Bella & Alicia Fox via pinfall (Bella Buster)

Usos vs. Wyatt Family (w/ Erick Rowan)

The Wyatts dominate early on, with no Bray Wyatt at ringside, as he's traveling with the other post-holiday live event crew. The beating goes on for several minutes, until Harper is sent outside and Jimmy suicide dives onto him. Jey hits superkicks all around until Strowman locks on the arm-triangle for the in.

Winners: Wyatt Family via technical submission (arm-triangle)

- WWE delivers their own "Hateful 8 of 2015" list.

Bo Dallas vs. Dolph Ziggler

Bo Dallas gets some early offense and does a victory lap. Dallas really dominates almost all of the match until Ziggler totally clobbers him with a big superkick for the pinfall win.

Winner: Dolph Ziggler via pinfall (superkick)

- We see highlights of Roman Reigns' 2015 year. It's announced that John Cena will return to Smackdown.

Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose vs. Sheamus & Kevin Owens

Reigns clotheslines Sheamus outside, then Ambrose hits a big suicide dive. Ambrose gets isolated by Sheamus and beaten down for several minutes before finally making the tag to Roman Reigns. Reigns beats the hell out of Sheamus but gets crotched on the ring post by Owens for the DQ.

Winners: Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose via DQ

Owens and Sheamus run Reigns into the stairs. They try to put Reigns through the ringside table, but Ambrose comes to his rescue.
