Rusev Update, Chris Jericho Talks WWE Affecting His Cred With Rock Fans, Media For WWE Rookie
- The Playlist Podcast interviewed Chris Jericho, who discussed his music career. During the interview, Jericho talked about his WWE career putting off some music fans.
"Because I have notoriety from another area, that works against Fozzy," Jericho said, via TV3. "People think it's some kind of a novelty thing. Not as much any more, but you still get people who say, 'Yeah I've heard of them, but I've never listened to them – it's Jericho.'"
- Rusev is in India for the pair of WWE live events in New Delhi this week, so if he did suffer a knee injury at a WWE live event last weekend, it was pretty minor. Rusev hasn't wrestled since last Saturday's WWE live event in Bossier City, although he appeared onstage in the opening segment of RAW last Monday. Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio earlier this week that Rusev injured his knee at the show that wouldn't require surgery, which Rusev denied on Twitter. Ric Flair also noted during an interview with The Miami Herald this week that Rusev was injured.
- Speaking of the WWE tour in India, we noted that NXT rookie Satender Dagar, who signed with WWE last summer, will be making his in-ring debut on the tour. NDTV has a story here about Dagar's impending debut and called him the second Indian after The Great Khali to wrestle in WWE, apparently forgetting about Jinder Mahal and Tiger Ali Singh.
