Thanks to Wrestling Inc. readers Narendran and Chiranjeet Goswami for sending in these reports from the first night of the WWE tour in India at Indira Gandhi Stadium in New Delhi:

From Narendran:

Two NXT prospects Kishan Raftar and Jeet Rama debuted.

* Kane defeated Bray Wyatt

* The New Day defeated The Usos and Prime Time players in a triple threat tag team match

* Lovepreet Sangha, a.k.a Kishan Raftar, beat Jason Jordan

* WWE Divas Champion Charlotte defeated Summer Rae

* Dolph Ziggler defeated Tyler Breeze.

* Satendra, a.k.a. Jeet Rama, defeated Chad Gable

* Rusev defeated Ryback

* WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns defeated The Big Show

From Chiranjeet Goswami:

Demon Kane vs. Bray Wyatt (without The Wyatt Family)

Wyatt makes the first entry interrupting the ring announcer and got a huge reaction. He is followed by Kane who has an INSANE reaction. The match itself was great and had several "this is awesome" chants. Bray playing the heel lost to Kane after a chokeslam. Kane took a bow on his way out. The crowd went nuts for Kane. He was wayyyyy over.

The Usos vs. The Prime Time Players vs. The New Day: Triple Threat Tag Team Match for the WWE Tag Team Championship

Nice tag match with New Day (Big E and Woods with Kofi in their corner) entertaining the crowd and Titus showing his big power moves. The Usos were way over and the crowd wanted them in the match. The New Day retained via outside interference and were beat down by the two teams afterwards.

Lovepreet (billed as "Kishan Raftar") vs. Jason Jordan

In his second match (following his debut the night before), the Indian NXT star did pretty good. Some MXT chants when Jason came out, but nothing much. The match itself was OK, but the crowd gave it a lukewarm reaction. Jason cut a heel promo at the start saying India has no good athletes, which drew loud boos from the crowd. Kishan won with a rollup and the crowd was happy. He cut a mixed Hindi-English promo, which was well received. The match could have been better though.

Charlotte vs. Summer Rae for the WWE Divas Championship

I liked the match, but the crowd was dead for the most past. Both ladies gave their best and produced a fun match. Charlotte retained with the figure 8.

Tyler Breeze vs. Dolph Ziggler

In what was undoubtedly the BEST match of the night, this one received "this is awesome" 5 times. It was a long match with many false finishes with Dolph kicking out of a supermodel kick and an Unprettier, and Tyler kicking out of a superkick and zigzag. Finally Ziggler won with a superkick-Zig Zag combo. Amazing match that words cant describe.

INTERMISSION

Chad Gable vs. Satendra Pal (billed as "Jeet Rama")

This one was very smooth and wrestling oriented and better than the Raftar-Jordan match. Both guys were amazing in the ring. Jeet Rama is big guy with amazing wrestling technique. He matched Chad Gable in wrestling skills, which says a lot. Jeet won with a german suplex type move.

Ryback vs. Rusev

Rusev came out first with some "We want lana" chants. The came Ryback to a HUGE REACTION. His feed me more chants are very popular with the crowd. Ryback was knocked out by the Accolade after his head hit a turnbuckle exposed by Rusev.

The Main Event – The Big Show vs Roman Reigns for The WWE World Heavyweight Championship:

Big Show got a good pop. He is HUGE in person. Roman Reigns came from the gorrila position (no crowd entry as we were expecting) to a loud reaction. The match was slow paced with Big Show trying to get heel heat and finally succeeded. Roman, after being punished throughout the match, finally used 4 superman punches (and the crowd loved it) and then a spear for the win.

Reigns thanked everyone for coming and said we will be here again. The crowd was happy and satisfied. Very good event overall.

My rating 8.5/10
