WWE Targeting AJ Styles, Shisuke Nakamura And Other Top NJPW Stars?

According to MLW Radio, several big New Japan Pro Wrestling talents have given their notices to the company. Among those rumored to be leaving New Japan are AJ Styles, Shisuke Nakamura, Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows.

Wrestling Observer Radio says that WWE has targeted all of these talents, and they'll be leaving the company shortly. We first reported in early December that WWE was interested in signing Nakamura. Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that he may be leaving later than the others, as he's the current IWGP Intercontinental Champion.

According to Meltzer, Styles had been working without a contract, despite being booked in a major match on the company's biggest show. Styles has been pretty clear that he's open to going to WWE or NXT if the financial aspect added up.

I spoke to "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson recently, and asked him about the idea of joining the WWE.

"Yeah, I've had lots of conversations (with WWE). I don't want to give the cliche answer and say business is business. If the right offer came along, you never know what could happen. I love New Japan, I love wrestling in Japan and I love the fans and how comfortable I am over there. I've been there for 8 years, but if the right offer came, I'm not scared to come to America," Anderson said.

We'll have more on this situation as it develops.
