Video: Daniel Bryan On His WWE Retirement Speech, What He Wanted Fans To Take Away From It, More
- Above is post-RAW Fallout video of Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella after his retirement speech on last night's RAW.
Bryan talks about how they deliver works of fiction and to go out and deliver what he wishes was a work of fiction, was very difficult. Bryan says he was pleased he cried less than he did out in the ring. He says he had a big cry backstage with good friend Ryback also. Bryan says leaving hurts so much because he loves the business so much.
Bryan also talks about the fan support and says the amount of comments from fans is overwhelming. Bryan was asked if he felt like he got to say goodbye the way he wanted. Bryan says he didn't want to say goodbye but he didn't want last night to be sad. Bryan says he's had a great career and he's not sure how long the sadness and inner turmoil will last. He didn't want the fans to take away the inner sadness, he wanted to take away how he was grateful for everything. Bryan says the wins, losses and WrestleMania wins were great but wrestling gave him so much more, like his wife, and he wanted everyone to know he's grateful for that.
Brie also comments on the post-RAW segment with Vince McMahon coming out, saying she couldn't help but be proud when seeing how many people her husband touched.
