Vince Russo Talks Triple H Refusing To Job To NOD Member, Dixie Carter Giving AJ Styles A Makeover
Vince Russo has been around the block a time or two as a writer for WWF, TNA and WCW. During that time, he's seen some interesting things to say the least.
On this week's edition of the Wrestling Inc Podcast, which you can see above, Russo talks about a situation in TNA where Dixie Carter wanted to make AJ Styles 'cool' as a champion.
"When we put the belt on AJ, Dixie Carter of all people, with the southern draw, decided she was going to make AJ Styles cool. Dixie brought AJ to her beauty parlor to get his hair done and get a makeover. He hated every minute of it, but Dixie was bound and determined to make him cool," Russo said while laughing.

Russo also recalled a time while writing for WWF when Triple H had a problem putting over a member of the Nation of Domination.
"We wanted him to put D-Lo over, and Triple H wouldn't do it," Russo said. "He was not dating Stephanie McMahon at that time. He was getting over with DX at the time and we wanted to give D-Lo a little something and Hunter would not do it. I've not worked with him in 15 years, but I think about that moment because I was surprised because so many people had laid down for him to get him over."
Russo wondered if being married to Stephanie McMahon and being in his position affected things for Triple H as it pertained to being involved in big stories.
"Being married to Stephanie and with a little more power is it more of a problem? I listened to the CM Punk [podcasts] and it sounded like it was," Russo said, before saying at least the Reigns/Triple H segment got heat.
