Davey Richards On If He Has Any Interest Signing With WWE, Staying In Contact With Seth Rollins
Chris Featherstone recently interviewed Davey Richards for Sports Illustrated's "Extra Mustard". Below are a couple of highlights:
Why deal with WWE wasn't finalized in 2013:
"I just don't have any interest in going to WWE as a wrestler, just because it's not congruent with my schedule. I want to finish school, I have a job outside of wrestling that I really like, and I really don't like traveling; that's why I stopped going to Japan. To me, to just quit everything and move [to Florida] just doesn't work for me. I operate best when I do my wrestling thing and then come home and do my real life thing."
Staying in contact with Seth Rollins:
"He and I go back and forth [about rehab and training], because he's like me; he likes to go out there and train hard, he's a very active person. Me, him, and Matt Taven are going through this knee thing together."
Richards also discussed rehabbing for his knee injury, getting his start, Jamie Noble coming up with their "American Pitbulls" name in NXT and more. You can check out the full interview by clicking here.
