NJPW On AXS Recap (3/11): Bullet Club, Karl Anderson, Doc Gallows, Kenny Omega, Tanahashi, Shibata

Welcome to this week's coverage of NJPW on AXS. Tonight's show features Kenny Omega vs. Alex Shelley and much more!

Alex Shelley (w/ KUSHIDA) vs. Kenny Omega (w/ Bullet Club)

The two trade holds until the Young Bucks grab Shelley's foot. The Cleaner grabs a trash can and chucks it into Shelley's head behind the ref's back. Omega follows up with a fisherman's buster for two. Omega puts a trash can on Shelley's head and swings a broom into it.

Omega goes to powerbomb Shelley into the trash can, but eats an STO into the can instead. Shelley then hits a superkick and an Emerald Fusion, but Bullet Club puts Omega's foot on the ropes. KUSHIDA takes out Bullet Club, but Omega hits the One-Winged Angel for the pin.

Winner: Kenny Omega via pinfall (One Winged Angel)

Omega says he's not attending the 2015 Best of the Super Garbage tournament.

- We see clips of Bullet Club & Bullet Babe vs. Kingdom & Maria, which features Anderson chasing around Maria, per usual. Maria kicks him in the balls and gets an inside cradle on the Bullet Babe for the win. So this match had two WWE guys, a TNA duo, a GFW female wrestler, and a sidelined ROH wrestler on NJPW tv. After the match, Karl Anderson says he hopes one day that Maria joins the Bullet Club.

Katsuyori Shibata, Hiroshi Tanahashi & Togi Makabe vs. Kazushi Sakuraba, Toru Yano, Tomohiro Ishii

We see some excellent mat wrestling from Sakuraba and Shibata, with Sakuraba working a nice double wristlock. A whole lot of nothing happens until Sakuraba chokes out Tanahashi on the apron, and then his teammates toss Tanahashi into the guardrail and crowd.

We come back from a break to see Ishii and Makabe knocking the hell out of each other, as is tradition. Shibata and Sakuraba get tagged in, and Shibata beats The Gracie Killer senseless before a dropkick in the corner. Sakuraba briefly threatens with another double wristlock, but Shibata gets a Death Valley Driver. Tanahashi and Yano are left alone in the ring, and Tanahsahi gets two Slingblades before the count is broken up. Tanahashi gets an inside cradle and wins anyway.

Winners: Katsuyori Shibata, Hiroshi Tanahashi & Togi Makabe
