Vince Russo Explains Triple H's Bias, How It Affects WWE Booking And Why NXT Is Exempt

Vince Russo has seen his share of ups and downs throughout his career as a writer for WWE, WCW and TNA. However, the writer said on his most recent edition of Nuclear Heat that he sees a glaring mistake being made in WWE today.

"This is not a Triple H thing, I dealt with this with many individuals at a high level in my lifetime. You can not allow any of the boys to be involved in creative. That will never work. If you were a wrestler prior to making creative decisions, you have preconceived notions about the talent that you personally worked with, and they are still on the roster. It's impossible for Triple H to not have heat or ill will towards anybody on the roster," Russo said.

Russo says that Triple H working with wrestlers in the past, something he's done with a large portion off WWE's current roster, can keep him from making decisions without bias. Russo said he's witnessed the process before, too.

"There is going to be baggage there. I saw it time and time again with wrestlers that all of a sudden became bookers and didn't want to put so and so over because back in 1995 so and so pissed them off or nailed their girlfriend. Wrestlers are like elephants, they never forget anything, and they bring their baggage with them to the current roster," Russo said.

Russo pointed out evidence of his statement being that Triple H doesn't hold a bias for or against anyone on the NXT roster, which is why it has found booking success.

"He never worked with those people, they were never his peers. He was not in a ring with Samoa Joe, Sami Zayn, Finn Balor. He's the mentor. When you're booking with guys that are your equals and there are preconceived notions, that's going to affect the booking," Russo said.
